There are two alternatives to reach Sankri, Public buses or Shared Jeeps.
There are only two direct buses from Dhradun to Sankri. They start early morning for Sankri at 5 am and 7 am. Cost is around INR 300. Buses leave from opposite the Grand Hotel near the Railway station. The bus takes 10-11 hours. There are also government buses till Purola and from there one has to change to shared Jeeps.
There are shared cab also available which around 8 AM from the taxi stand opposite to Grand Hotel near Prince Chowk. Ticket cost is around Rs 600.
A Sumo/Max can also be arranged at a cost of around INR 6000.
Alternatives for Dehradun to Sankri
On the other hand you can take an transport to Purola which begins at 6:00 a.m and after that proceed from that point by jumping jeeps.
